Personal choices, personal consequences, and fairness. Do you see how these go together? In our last episode, we mentioned the fairness of God in dealing with folks. In this one, the psalmist fleshes this out a little bit.
In this psalm, Psalm 7, we see the weapons of God being equated with a person’s own choices, with the traps they lay for others. Isn’t that intriguing? And the Psalmist is content to let God manage the process. He asks God to take care of it and lets it go, trusting that God will. Is this another source of the peace and strength needed to lie down, sleep, and awaken that we’ve mentioned in previous episodes? Anyway…
